Welcome to the NEW Fort Dupont Ice Arena! Whether you're an experienced skater or new to the ice, our facility offers open skate and a variety of programs and activities for everyone to enjoy. Here's everything you need to know about visiting us and participating in our programs.

A reservation is required for Open Skate.

Fort Dupont Ice Arena Programming Grants

With the opening of our facility, the Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) is excited to announce grants to support structured recreational programming at the Fort Dupont Ice Arena.

Funding is available for leisure programs like learn-to-skate, figure skating, hockey skills, broomball, and other ice activities, as well as competitive youth hockey teams across multiple age divisions. Please note that one-time events are not eligible; programs must offer consistent, ongoing activities at the arena.

Deadline: Monday, January 5, 2026 at 4:00 PM

Pre-Application Meeting: Thursday, December 18, 2025 at 10:00 AM. RSVP to register for the pre-application meeting here.

Grant Details

Organizations can apply for a grant up to $235,000 to facilitate programming with a minimum of 24 hours per week for 36 weeks in the following areas:

Leisure Programming

Learn-to-skate
Figure skating (developmental/leisure)
Hockey (skills development)
Broomball
Other ice programming

Competitive Programming

Establishment of a competitive youth hockey team, including boys’ and girls’ teams from at least two divisions (8U, 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U).
